How long is a summer day, with perfect surf and a blue bowl of sky? In memory, it can last forever. In Kicking Out, a man remembers a larger-than-life friend, while making peace with his own changing and damaged body. Elegiac and powerful, it's a story of how our coming of age marks us for life.
Noah Dundas is a previously unpublished author and Kicking Out is his first novel. He developed the book into its present form at the Independent Publishing Resource Center in Portland. Noah worked on perfecting his craft by studying Poetry at ASU with acclaimed poet Norman Dubie. Here in Portland he has worked with the legendary group of writers known as The Dangerous Writers led by Tom Spanbauer, where the first drafts of Kicking Out were formed.
Noah is joined for this event by Heather Julius and Eden Bainter, fellow IPRC participants.
