I read in many genres, so I keep separate lists of my favorite books in each.  I started my book career working in the Science Fiction section at Powell's, but I came there in the first place because I was such a hungry reader.  (I'm still attached to some books from my childhood, see list below.)  Post-Powell's, I've had my life's direction change a few times, from bookstore publicist to editorial assistant to married mother of twin girls to bookstore owner with family...and every Left Turn at Albuquerque has sent me down new literary paths as well.
